Randsburg, California, also known as the Rand Mining District, is commonly referred to as the "Living Ghost Town." This small mining community, situated in the Northern Mojave, is barely surviving. The region is renowned for outdoor activities like ATV riding, dirt biking, 4x4 off-roading, and motorcycling. RVers and car clubs are also encouraged to explore the area. While weekends can be bustling with tourists, local horseback riders, and off-road enthusiasts, weekdays offer a more tranquil experience with fewer visitors. Visitors can savor an old-fashioned soda fountain at the general store and a traditional Old West saloon, with varying opening hours depending on the season. The Joint acts as the local bar, and Randsburg is an excellent spot for capturing mesmerizing desert photography.
